Film Analysis





Ordinary World: Ren lives in Boston
Call to Adventure: He moves to Bomont to live with his aunt, uncle, and cousic, after his mothers death. He makes friends with willard. and learns all of the different laws of the town. Which is no playing loud music.

Refusal of the Call: He would play loud music in is car anyways. And let his emotions free by dancing.
Meeting with the mentor: He meets this beautiful girl, Ariel.  The Reverend daughter. They met at church by introduction with his aunt and uncle. The Reverends wife was also a great mentor to agree that they should be able to dance and listen to loud music.
Crossing threshold: Goes to city council to plead his case. about the law of music and dancing.
Allies, Enemies: Ren trying to get everyone  to agree with him to participate in his boycot. The reverend is an enemy and all of city council for not letting them listen to music and dance.
Approach: Went to the city council the first time and the declined his speech. Then he came back to them the second time and was more prepared with scriptures of dancing from the bible. And the City Council members agree with Ren and let them dance again.
Ordeal: One of his biggest fear his getting hit by a train. he would not play the game chicken by seeing who would stay out the longest with out getting hit by the train.
Reward: He gets the girl, Ariel and gets dance and listen to music at his senior ball.

The road back: He never leaves Bomont. Will they ban music and dancing again? Will Ren marry Ariel?
Resurrection: The high school students can have a fun time with music and dancing and getting to know one another.
